While waiting for parts etc I have been picking away at the 77 hoping to get a jump on things. As you can see she is all black with chrome accents throughout. Thats the plan. I never like to do thing over to much and since these two bikes are on the go at once I thought it only fitting that they do not look like each other.

Got the bottom trees and fork sliders on, oil tank and transmission done and in. I like the trans end cover done in black with the chrome acorn nuts as they really stand out against the black. Heads are assembled and done with black powdered rocker boxes with all chrome nuts as well. Make a plan a stick to it...ha ha

I stripped the old wheels off the 76 and had the rims, hubs and spokes powder coated and decided to use chrome nipples for the spokes to add some contrast. I think they look good and will match the theme of the bike.

Zeke is ahead of me on this one and brought the paint yesterday. All I can say is sweet! The black is so deep you would think you could fall into it. Hard to get a pic as the lights just keep reflecting in it but you get the idea. He used a bit of pinstriping to accent a few areas but not overdone. I really like the mixed lettering he used for the logo on the tanks. Flat black on gloss black. Suttle but a very nice effect. Kudos to you Zeke!

More to come soon.....
